Built around instruction
PTI instructors help shape how scenarios, practice, and reflection fit the way communication skills are taught.
In the field
Voysses works with the University of Illinois Police Training Institute to put adaptive communication practice in the hands of recruits—and to keep making that practice better.
01 / A working partnership
PTI has spent generations preparing officers for the decisions, conversations, and responsibilities of the job. Voysses brings a new kind of practice into that environment: responsive AI simulations that let every recruit engage, make choices, and reflect on what happened next.
The partnership is practical by design. We work with instructors to align the experience with real teaching goals, then learn from how the platform performs with recruits. That exchange keeps Voysses grounded in the realities of academy training.
02 / In the classroom
A classroom does not need to become a lab. Recruits open their laptops, step into a scenario, and practice a difficult conversation in their own words. Instructors gain a shared experience they can bring back into discussion, coaching, and live training.
Training at scale can still feel individual.
PTI instructors help shape how scenarios, practice, and reflection fit the way communication skills are taught.
Every recruit can enter a responsive conversation at the same time, with space to find their own words.
What instructors and learners see in practice returns to the product, informing the next scenario and the next iteration.
03 / Inside the scenarios
At PTI, recruits practice trauma-informed interviewing across personas who respond in different ways—hesitant, guarded, angry, or direct. There is no script to follow; learners have to listen, adapt, and decide how to move the conversation forward.
That variation turns one lesson into many possible conversations. Every recruit gets an individual rep, while instructors gain a shared experience for debrief, comparison, and coaching.
